UC Davis faculty are world leaders in many areas of agricultural and environmental research. As a consequence, UC Davis provides research collaboration, training and technical support to a range of projects and countries. IP presently has projects working in countries including:
- Afghanistan, Chile, China, Egypt, India, Iraq and Vietnam
IP, primarily through its extensive collaboration with the USDA FAS Cochran program, has supported activities in over forty countries.

Country collaborations
UC Davis is active in a number of countries providing technical support, extension system and material development. See examples listed below. International Programs has on-going projects in:

Horticulture and Extension. UC Davis is a participant in the USDA funded project Iraq Agricultural Extension Revitalization (IAER). Training
IP delivers a number of short courses, workshops and seminars in response to country requests (often as part of collaborative projects - see below). Topics cover themes such as horticulture, extension, livestock, and irrigation.
If you need support, please send us a brief one page summary of your areas of interest, numbers to be trained, length of training desired and the source of funding to support such collaboration.
International Programs offers its own range of on-demand courses through the International Learning Center in:

- Train-the-trainer, extension and communication methodologies,

- Knowledge and learning asset management, and
- Basic agronomy
Fellowships
There are a number of programs that support international collaborators to visit UC Davis and/or other USA universities:
- Borlaug. USDA provides funding to support short-term scientific training and collaborative research opportunities at US Universities. See Borlaug
- Cochran. UC Davis is one of the major hosts for providing short-term training and industry visits on the USDA-supported Cochran program. See Cochran

- Humphrey Fellowship Program. UC Davis is one of a limited number of US campuses hosting a Humphrey Fellow program. The fellows who come for 9 months focus on Agriculture and/or the Environment. See Humphrey
