Statement of Program Aim
The
Department of Agricultural and Resource Economics, University of California,
Davis, in collaboration with UC
Davis Extension, offers a one-year certificate
program to further the development of the candidate's applied economics
skills and reasoning, building on courses and specialties learned elsewhere,
and to improve the candidate's ability to disseminate the results of applied
economics research.
Maximum Enrollment
Five students.
Student Prerequisites
A TOEFL score of 550 or better is required of all nonnative English speakers. Students are expected to have a minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in agricultural economics, economics or the equivalent; Math 16A and 16B--Short Calculus--or the equivalent; and an undergraduate course in regression analysis or econometrics.
