
The International Learning Center (ILC) facilitates
- Learning. Development and delivery of short courses and workshops at UC Davis and in-country,
- Material development. Development of curricula, and instructional and extension materials (The ILC manages an extensive on-line Knowledge Bank of extension and learning materials), and
- Networking. Linkages to UC Davis experts.
The ILC is an integral component of implemented projects.
All ILC learning activities involve
- Technical field programs to demonstrate the link between learning, practice and industry (led by Corky Lovin), and
- the development of Action Plans for participant implementation upon their return home (led by ILC Director Mark Bell).
The ILC also provides training in:
- Planning and project and people management
- Train-the-trainer, extension and communication methodologies,
- Monitoring and evaluation,
- Knowledge and learning asset management, and
- Basic agronomy
